Jennifer Lopez Honoring Selena at Billboard Latin Music Awards
Jennifer Lopez is reprising her breakthrough role as Selena Quintanilla with a musical tribute to the late singer at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards. "It's an honor, a great honor to be able to, 20 years after her death, do a tribute for Selena," J Lo told Telemundo's entertainment show Al Rojo Vivo. "She continues to be someone that inspires. It's something that excites me very much. And I want to do something special, very special — just like she was — in this tribute."
Jennifer's performance will mark the end of a series of events for the anniversary of Selena's death in Corpus Christi, TX, on March 31, 1995. Recently, the Quintanilla family celebrated the life of the Tejana singer with a two-day musical festival, and Selena's sister, Suzette, appeared on The Real, where Adrienne Bailon showed her love for Selena with a performance of "I Could Fall in Love" — her first in six years. Tune in to Telemundo on April 30 for what is sure to be a beautiful commemoration of the life and music of Selena.
