What She Would Say to Her Younger Self

"It took me a long time to believe that I was smart. A really long time. Up until even a few years ago, I thought I needed to have a college degree to be considered smart no matter how much success I had in entertainment. So I think I would tell myself 'You're smart; it's cool,' because then I felt like I overcompensated in so many other ways, and I didn't need to."

"I think staying hydrated is actually something that I didn't realize how important it was until recently; you can literally get heart palpitations if you're not well hydrated. I really do love to drink coconut water. When you get to my age, you can literally see it on your face when you're dehydrated, and it's just not cute."

How She Gets Her Daughters to Eat Healthy

"I think the biggest thing is introducing them to fresh produce and more healthy things early in life, so it's not like 'Oh, all of a sudden Mom says I have to eat this.' My girls never had soda pop. That's just not in our home so it's not really an option, but they always had coconut water, so they'll ask for it. They don't get to have the chocolate one every day like they want to, but they are allowed to have the regular. They're also not allowed to have dessert unless they eat all their veggies. I don't care if they eat all the food as long as they eat their vegs and as long as they don't have a bad attitude, because kids with that attitude don't get to eat dessert. Not in our house!"

The Future She Wants For Her Daughters

"I really hope for so many things. But I really hope that they are nice people. I just want them to be nice and I want them to be happy, whatever it is that they do with their life, I don't really care. We had a day a couple weeks ago where they were just screaming at the top of their lungs at each other from the moment they woke up and it was like the end of the day and I was just like 'I can't anymore, you guys; we're just gonna not talk.' You want them happy. I made it a game, but we meditated. Breathe through your nose and count to five, breathe out of your nose and count to five. I didn't call it meditation, but it was a game to get them to relax."
