Thalía's Open Letter to Her Kids Will Pull at Your Heartstrings

Thalía is getting ready to celebrate Mother's Day by being part of Time's yearly "Letters From Mom" feature. In a letter penned by the singer for her two children, Sabrina and Matthew, and published in full on the magazine's website, the Mexican singer says: "It has never been easy to say goodbye to you, and see your starry eyes get cloudy for a few seconds, asking me, 'Are you coming back? When? I need you! Don't leave me.'"

Thalía, who is married to music executive Tommy Mottola, goes on to say her children have inspired her to be more adventurous and expand her horizons as a singer, writer, and fashion designer. "Being a working mother is to know that work now has a different meaning. I no longer work to satisfy my ego, I do it for your present and your future," she says. But the most touching part, which made us tear up just a little, reads: "Never, ever forget this: Mom lives within you, always inside of your hearts — just close your eyes, and I'll be there." Beautifully said.
